10/25/2013Begin Medical, Security & Final Suitability Clearances
11/11/2013: Medical 30 day Extension granted
11/13/2013: First Contact from U.S.-based Investigator
11/15/2013 - 11/30/2013: U.S. Investigator speaks with over 15 folks from family, friends and employment
11/14/2013: First Contact from Guatemala-based Investigator 
11/21/2013: 2 hour interview With Guatemala-based Investigator
12/02/2013: Medical 30 day Extension Granted
12/05/2013: Spanish Language Telephone Test @ 3:00PM (rescheduled due to technical issues)
12/18/2013: Medical 30 day Extension Granted
01/02/2014: Received notice Security Investigation is being "finalized" (YAY!)
01/06/2014Spanish Language Telephone Test @ 3PM (results in 2 weeks!)
01/17/2014: 
Medical 30 day Extension Granted
01/17/2014Passed Spanish Test!  .17 points added to Oral Exam score :D
02/16/2014: Submitted medical packet (finally!)
02/27/2014: SECURITY CLEARANCE!!!!
03/10/2014: Medical clearance hold for elevated Blood Pressure; filled out follow up plan for 3 months
05/2014: Confirmation that I do not have elevated Blood Pressure
09/2014: Secondary confirmation that I do not have elevated Blood Pressure
10/17/2014: Message from nurse in charge of my case letting me know that once I send in the materials, she will review them and hopefully grant me medical clearance. :) Woot!

11/04/2014: Receive e-mail message from investigator that she needs proof I filed taxes in 2008, 2009, 2010 and history of student loan payments.
11/10/2014MEDICAL CLEARANCE! Worldwide Availability!
12/01/2014Follow-up security investigations; discovered that a loan is listed twice on my credit report, and it listed as "in collections." Got that cleared up!
01/20/2015: Called about security clearances. Was told I still have my Top Secret Clearance, but am with an investigator for another type of clearance. Maybe this is Final Suitability?
02/06/2015: Talked with Investigator again. Showed proof of paying off bills. She said it was "excellent." Hopefully FS comes soon...

04/10/2015: Final Suitability denied. All candidacies terminated. Must apply again in 2017.

05/27/2014: Invited to Oral Assessment!
06/01/2014: Postpone Oral Assessment until May 2015

04/10/2015: Final Suitability denied. All candidacies terminated. Must apply again in 2017.

02/06/2015: FSOT (Passed!)
03/19/2015: Personal Narratives Submitted

04/10/2015: Final Suitability denied. All candidacies terminated. Must apply again in 2017.

March 2015-March 2017 Mandatory Waiting Period

  2. Financial reasons that were cleared up before I even began the FS process. I decided not to appeal because I am confident I will be able to reach and pass OA again, and 2017 coincides with the end of State's 7 year reach for most financial issues, so I do not think it will be an issue (but you never know).
